Came home last night to go out for dinner for my mum's birthday, only to find that Lindsay (or Twinsay, as I shall call her from now on) and I were wearing near enough the same outfit. Checked shirts, skinny jeans and vests - I still maintain it was MY look first. The best part was when Lindsay admired my shirt and asked where it was from, and I had to remind her that she gave me it about 6 months ago. Usually Lindsay makes fun of everything I wear, until about 2 years later when she is suddenly asking to borrow it.
Worse than that, I bought these amazing watermelon shoes in Topshop yesterday (£14, very comfortable, utter bargain)...
...only to find that Lindsay, too, has been at the fruit.
It's quite weird that, despite how different we are, we seem to like/wear the roughly the same things.
Our dad is quite partial to a checked shirt too, perhaps that's where we get it from.
[That's Nardini's in Largs in the background - we went for fish and chips, and they do hands-down the best fish and chips on the west coast. Their ice-cream is pretty good too - Dad had espresso flavour.]
Ice-cream is still my favourite food. Mum and I had butter pecan, and Lindsay had Italian cookie flavour, but not even that could make her smile for a photograph. She was probably still annoyed that her sense of style was so derivative, hahaha.
