"Berlin is the testicle of the West. When I want the West to scream, I squeeze on Berlin." - Nikita Kruschev, Soviet Communist Party secretary (1953-64)
We just got back from Berlin, and wow what a place. Despite what Nikita Kruschev says, it's much more interesting than a testicle. We were there for 7 days and weren't bored once. I will share my pictures and top tips for places to go over the next few days - in the meantime, I would definitely recommend booking up if you haven't already been.
We went with lastminute.com, and 6 nights in the Radisson on Alexanderplatz only cost about £270 each, including flights. You can't even spend money once you get there - I think the most we paid for dinner was about 30 euros (seriously, some places do 3 courses for 7.50... HOW?)
I think I might want to move. Stay tuned...
